As a new entry variant in the EQ Power range, the C 300 e represents all the traits Mercedes-Benz stands with its timeless, sporty yet elegant and contemporary design with state-of-the-art safety and assistance systems. As the technology leader, the C 300 e features Mercedes-Benz’s finest plug-in hybrid powertrain and latest developments of vehicles under the C-Class family.
The C 300 e is coupled with the 2-litre, 4-cylinder in-line petrol engine with peak output of 155 kW (211 hp) at 5,500 rpm. Its peak torque is at 350 Nm at 1,200 – 1,400 rpm. The petrol engine works in sync with a 90 kW (122 hp) electric motor to give a system output of 235 kW (320 hp) at 4,500 – 5,500 rpm, as well as a peak torque of 700 Nm. It emits lower than 45 g of carbon dioxide based on a combined driving calculation.
The C 300 e accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission system ensures an economical energy consumption rate at every move and delivers extra torque when the gear is quickly shifted down upon vehicle overtaking.
The C 300 e uses a new 13.5 kWh Li-ion battery with 111% increase in capacity compared to its previous battery generation. This is achieved through a new lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt (Li NMC) battery cell composition. It takes 1 hour 50 minutes to recharge from 10% of battery capacity to 100% if the battery is charged at maximum recharge power by Mercedes-Benz Wallbox charger.
The 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission system is standard as this latest transmission system ensures an economical energy consumption rate at every move and effectively reduces leaked noise into the cabin.
The C 300 e has an astonishingly lean yet emotive design and intelligent, appealing equipment. With the AMG Line exterior, the C 300 e comes with a 19-inch AMG five-twin-spoke alloy wheels. On headlamps, it has the MULTIBEAM LED which contains 84 independently-operated and highly-accurate LEDs that is significantly higher than Mercedes-Benz’s standard LED technology. This construction means light intensity can be automatically and intelligently adjusted to suit lighting conditions or congestion levels around the vehicle such as when at a roundabout, in urban and congested areas, or in severe weather conditions that may affect driver’s vision. In addition, the C 300 e is also equipped with the electronically-operated panoramic sliding sunroof.
For seats and upholstery, the C 300 e is fitted with leather upholstery with a pre-installed memory seat package and the open-pore black ash wood trim. It also maximises drivers’ convenience with a 12.3-inches instrument cluster display and 10.25-inches central display.
The C 300 e offers a familiar range of equipment such as the DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL, PRE-SAFE® system, Active Brake Assist as well as the KEYLESS-GO package.
